Semantic 3d annotations The improvement of technical possibilities (e.g. power of graphic cards and algorithms, hardware for virtual reality applications) has also high impact on digital humanities to use computer aided processing for 3d data. It is of high interest to identify objects, interior decoration or other parts of interest within digitized 3d environments and give evidence about them. This requires a lot of preparation and pre-processing and is usually done by (semantic) annotations. As well as the survey, the storage of 3d data influences the possibilities for annotations and later applications. This talk provides a brief overview about different possibilities for annotating 3d information, the management of them and the evaluation and analysis of annotated 3d data. The scope reaches from CAD-software to the integration in the semantic web, the advantages and disadvantages of the different techniques.
